Returning to work after worker comp injury

I had a fall 1 year ago and shattered my left wrist (fortunately I am right hand dominant). I just got the ok from my doctor to return to full duty, and he ordered a Fuctional Capacity Evaluation. My company wants me to take the DOT physical before the FCE. Truthfully I have some concerns...for the last 3 months I've been performing light duty with restrictions that I was not allowed to perform any task involving my left hand. I lost some range of motion and still have some nerve damage from the break, but I can grip pretty well. But my strength isn't there yet as I haven't been using that hand for a year. I'm worried that I may not pass the physical part of the test by lifting 65 lbs over my head or dragging a sled. I've heard that failing any part of the physical downgrades my cdl to non-cdl status. I feel that I should have the FCE first, because it will determine if I am able to perform the job. Is there anyone familiar with the FCE and if so, if it's determined I can't physically perform the job does that negate my cdl as well? Will I get a chance to work my muscle back into shape?
