I was an OTR driver for 3 years, 20+ years ago but had family growing up without me so I came off road. Now the kids are grown, wife is gone and home is gone so I am ready to start the adventure over again. Looking forward to being on the road again.

I have been a member of this site for about 2 months & this is my first post. I was an OTR Driver 20+ years ago & got out because of the family, kids growing & all that other stuff you miss, now the kids are grown, wife is gone & house is gone, so time to do it again. I found this site and have found so many useful things & information. Use the High Road testing section it will teach you things you must know & some very helpful tips. Also, read Brett's book it is informative & funny too. I do not know Brett personally but I have emailed him on several occassions & he always replies back & will never steer you wrong. I have been to other sites & they are ok but you will get more from TT than any other. I also encourage anyone thinking of getting into trucking especially OTR to do as much research as you can before you make the decision. Brett is correct when he states the truth about life on the road. If you like being around crowds & hanging with family & friends you may want to think twice. I am planning on starting my training in the next month & I am planning on many more post on TT. I hope to meet many of you on the road someday. Happy trails to all & safe travels. Also thank you Brett for creating this site.
