Well, after some research, (probably too much) and from Parrothead66's input here, I decided that McElroy was the best choice for me and my family. I start orientation on the 15th in Ennis, Texas and I will try to provide updates on orientation and training as I go, if anyone is interested. I'm excited and ready to get rolling figuratively and literally. This forum has been great for information throughout CDL school and while I contemplated my career choices. I appreciate the input.

Thanks for those answers Parrothead. That's why I asked about Sundays.....the Cowboys, but after the past 2 Sundays, I am okay with missing the games from now on. ha I appreciate your time to answer my questions. I'm just trying to make the best decision for me and my family. I will holler at you before I officially apply.

I have a few questions Parrothead when you get a chance. I know there is not a set answer to these, but just in general: 1. When do you usually get home on Fridays. 2. What time do you usually leave out on Sundays. 3. How often do you have to tarp?

I know it all depends on your loads, but I’d like your input. Thanks!

Hey Parrothead. I've been reading your posts for the past few months and I really appreciate the information and insight you give on McElroy. I will finish CDL school next month and McElroy is my first choice, although I have not applied yet. I did talk to Daryl earlier this week just to answer a few questions I had and it just seems like the place to be for me. Congrats on the new truck....I'm sure it smells great! Rod
