So got my student driver badge today. And went to the millennium building, this is really impressive. Another good news came on the end of the day, when I was about to leave at the end of training. I talked with a lady that coordinates trainer/student, just to make sure that it’s on file that I have no preference if the trainer is a smoker or non smoker. So wail she was making sure this is in the system, her co worker said, is this Mr. ....... So she told him this was me, and he said I just got him assigned to a trainer. She checked the pc and yes I have a trainer, now I just need to wait for him to call me. I will ask in class tomorrow what exactly I should be doing till he calls or what’s my next steps till then. Happy and exhausted Bear hear. Oh side note, going trough pre Trip training on a actual Truck today and it just clicked, it’s not that complicated if you stand infront the truck. A little learning the components and I be good, so that worrie is gone.

Its not a big deal. the drug tests dont usually come in until friday anyway. and i didnt get a trainer until monday. so relax and study that pretrip ;)

You were on point. Just waiting for the drug test. But like I told them, this is the only point I disagree with the training so far. The people that are waiting for just the test to come back, are waiting for something out of there hands. They and me included did everything that was asked from us, so at least we should been allowed to go to the safety meeting and tour. Small point and not really important but it would been nice too be there after a week of anxiety and stress.

Thank you everyone. It took me a hour or so to come down, because I want lie it is pretty frustrating after all the stress. You think ok I did everything, the recruiter told me hr side cleared and good to go, and then your name isn’t called. Lol this gives your Anxiety a little boost. But God has its reasons, so I believe relax and see what comes. I’m studying the Pre- Trip I downloaded from her. A little update from things that changed at Prime, or wasn’t mentioned by others as far as I know. You get a sign off paper, where you have to document every pre Trip and backing the Trickter during your Training. The trainer and you have to initial every one of those. And like it’s the rule you atleast need one pre Trip every day(plus the after Trip, but that’s not really the main learning thing). Also the Trainer assignment is handled a little different now, you both have to fill out a survey kind of thing. Where you get matched up with each other, this is done that hopefully characters come together that thing alike. Everyone knows the story’s about the fun dating apps this dates, where you find the perfect partner by answering random questions. So that’s what this is basically about. It was stressed over and over again that if you have a Problem with the trainer, start with your fleatmanager(calling him letting him know) and if that doesn’t help take the next step. No it’s not a perfect world and not a perfect system in my opinion, but I also really have the feeling Prime does the best they can to give you a good learning experience.

So a little frustrating set back today. But I know I didn’t gave wrong answers or have a problem with the drug screen. So I’m the end all will work out. This morning is was told I wasn’t cleared yet, because drug screen didn’t come back and a mvn Problem. Called my Recruiter and she said she’s gonna check on it and then call me back. Trough to her word she called back told me my hr file is clear the mvn was for another student not my file. So tonight I hoped for my prime badge and got disappointed, no clearance. Till tomorrow at 8:30 I want know what the issue is. But I’m in good faith and confident that all will be good. Update tomorrow

GPS- necessary or optional?

My life in the Army taught me a valuable life lesson. Work smarter, not harder. Like I mentioned before, I own and carry an Atlas; however, my GPS has yet to lead me to any major failures. Some odd routes yes, but nothing a bit of common sense and situational awareness could not compensate for. Now granted, some GPS's and software are better than others. I'll keep using mine, I've saved likely 20-30 hours sitting in traffic thanks to the timely traffic notifications and alt routes provided. Something that would have been rather hard to do if I needed to pull over and consult the stone tablet..I mean Road Atlas for another route.

So it would be nice to know what the GPS users are using as a go to GPS.

So short update. I passt my Simulator Class today with over 90points. I’m exited even that I know the simulator is no comparison to a real Truck. Another step.

Thanks for posting your progress and experiences there at Prime. You can be assured a ton of people will appreciate your rundown of how things go while attending their program.

It sounds like you're doing great, and we're thrilled to hear that. You'll have some times when you get completely frustrated, but just keep moving forward and focus on the prize. You've got this!

Thank you old school this I a import point, I can’t stress enough to everyone. Don’t worry you got this. Study on her, ask questions and be honest. If you do all this don’t stress, yes the time frame, classes and everything seems to much to handle. But believe me don’t stress keep up and us your free time to the best you can. Never sit around and wait for the last second to get things done. Am I stressing myself no, do I have free time to relax yes. How do I do it with everything that has to be done. I watch my time, when I have time I get things done. Like today the shuttle would been her at 11. It was 9:45 when the last class was finished. So I could waited for the shuttle to the dmv, but I didn’t. I walked to the city bus at Walmart, stopped at a gas station. Got me a drink, got money out the atm and expected to wait for the bus at 10:30 so I walked slow(it’s ice and I’m fat rofl) as I walked up I seen a bus standing there waiting, and it was the one I needed it was 10:04 and he was late. So I got on the bus and to the dmv with no stress at 10:40. God is great and I make thinks work out, no stress no worries.

So after doing everything I’m pretty much on a relaxing time, I do some pre trip studies and the few classes I have left. Besides that I have allot of time. Passt my up and down shifting on the simulator. Now just need the skip shifting and final simulator test. Then all dugs are in a row and I should be good to go. Thank you everyone without our you guys I wouldn’t be so far.
