"My girlfriend is standing 100% behind me." That is enough right there!!! good luck. Sad about Roehl - I am with them now good company

After great help her in the Forums, and no return Information trough Rhoel. I now decided I am gonna start my journey with Swift. Every Information to the training and just in General about Swift is appreciated. I have one big stone out of my way, today i got my 2 Year DOT Physical. Now im finishing my High Road Cdl training on her, and as soon as I feel comfortable I go to get my clp. Then the journey with Swift can go on.

My girlfriend is standing 100% behind me. The rest of my Family is trying to convince me that i would be better of with a second job to my full time job, just to get bills paid. So how i gonna handle the situation with them I dont know yet.

Thats all for now i really so far have just good experience with my Swift recruiter so i hope this continues.

Yes sad about Roehl because that was the first company i was Interested there Program sounded good with training. But there's no way of getting in contact with my Recruiter, so that is just a bad Situation.

That would be awesome. Because i would like to get things moving. Only Problem is that Brad seems to be a busy Recruiter, because i never reach him for anything.

Comgrats and good luck.

tell your family if they want to pay your bills then you will stay home. otherwise, do as you want. they will adjust.

Oh Rainy visiting my Post, I'm feeling honored. Seen allot of your advice and comments and most everything was straight to the point.

I think your right. I need to make the decision whats right for me and a decision that gives me the option to provide for my girlfriend and kids.

At the moment I'm still studying the High Road Stuff on her, and in my brakes from that I am searching the net for more information about Swift. What I'm trying to find out at the moment is when I'm getting paid the first time, i guess if i cant find a answer i just gonna do my cpl testing and then when i call the recruiter to line everything up, just gonna ask her.

So this is taking care of, i have my DOT Physical for 2 years. Now back to studying for the CLP. But for me the physical was the part i was worried, you never know. But everything turned out good. I guess I am gonna stick with Swift because cant reach anyone at Rhoel, maybe its a sign. So all Swift Drivers in her, let me know about your Swift experience. I already got some awesome people her, listening and telling me about Swift. Every and all information is appreciated.

I"m not worrying about this now, but maybe someone her knows the Problem, and has a sun shine story or some nice words for me. So like i said my Girlfriend is standing 100% behind my decision and has my back. My Family on the other hand are not happy and try to talk me out of this career choice, they think if i have problems with a full time job bringing in money then i should just work 2 jobs to make it.

Information from the Pool of wisdom

I tried reaching my buddy at Roehl but haven't heard back yet. Do you live anywhere close to Anderson SC?? There is a clinic there close to the mall that does same day physicals

Yes Anderson isn't to far. The Problem i have is that i am not sure what to look for, because if somebody tells me hes dmv certified that should be all i need. But the Swift Recruiter told me to use this website and just doctors from that website. I try to call Rhoel now a few times today and hope i get somewhere, because just the pay with Rhoel during training would be a big relief. Or do you think i can just hit other options when i get the answering machine and talk to another Recruiter, with Rhoel.

So my Recruiter from Rhoel still isn't reachable, but on the flip side the Recruiter from Swift was really good to talk with. Explained every question and went trough every detail. The only thing stopping me at the moment is that the side for the certified medical examiner search is down, and i need that according to Swift to find a doctor so i can get my physical. I will need the physical so i can get my cpl her in south Carolina. When all this is set i can start any Monday in the Swift Academy in Memphis, TN. So now the doctor is stopping my progress, I'm almost done with the high road test her and its going good. When I'm done her i need to do the same test on the Swift online Academy side, but i want to be prepared so they see I really want this. Swift is gonna pay transportation and lodging, everything else is on my account.

You'll need to get your medical clearance (D.O.T. Physical) done first, then take your tests for the CLP. Don't bother with the hazmat testing until you've obtained your CDL. Each state handles the Hazmat a little differently. It takes a while to get the hazmat because of the background checks.

Thank you and Merry Christmas then i understood the site right. One thing of the list now i just need to find out what company fits my needs better, and what the physical test by rhoel really is. But that has to wait till i get a recruiter on the phone, so i gonna enjoy my Christmas. If there is anyone her from Rhoel that just went trough the training, and knows more about the resent Physical test, let me know.

Thank you to every driver so far and Merry Christmas.

Information from the Pool of wisdom

So im trying to follow all your Tips, Information and i really love the "High Road Training". I know looked into South Carolina CLP. Maybe one of you can look at the dmv side for south carolina and understand it better then me. First question is do i need my medical before testing, when i called i ones was told yes, then the next person said no and the third look on the websiteconfused.gif . Thats this the other thing i found is the Hazmat Endorsement:

"The SCDMV does not conduct Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Threat Assessments and fingerprinting for people applying for a hazmat endorsement. You cannot have a commercial learner's permit (CLP) and have a hazmat endorsement. If you're requesting a hazmat endorsement (X or H), you must submit fingerprints and a background check, plus earn TSA security clearance before you may be issued a commercial driver's license (CDL) with a hazmat endorsement.wtf.gif

The SCDMV cannot issue, renew, or upgrade a CDL with a hazmat endorsement until you do all of the following"

So what are they trying to tell me can i do the Endorsement or do i have to wait till i have my clp?

Im getting there slowly but moving. I hope i get a call from Swift this week to see what they tell me, and i try to contact my Recruiter by Rhoel again and ask him, exactly how the physical will be done. And then i see, where im going because i want to have a good start in to this next year no waiting no playing around anymore. On the good side i talked with my better half again because Swifts home time is a little different then what we talked about with Rhoel, and she said we are still good to go. Only promise i need to give is to at least call her when i have time so she knows everything's fine, but i think that shouldn't be a big problem.
