I am 51 years old and single. I have been looking for something new to do that will pay a bit better than what I am earning now and allow me to see more of the country and truck driving seems like a good fit. The problem is I am pretty short (not sure if that matters) and I have a poor sense of direction, but do okay following GPS and road signs. Can anyone tell me what a newbie would generally expect to earn their first year and how hard would it be for someone who gets lost a lot without GPS to get back on track? I would hate to start this new adventure and find out I suck at it after quitting my job and paying for school.
