Staci P.'s Bio

Who likes these things? Ugh. Ok, been driving for 35 years/ 0 accidents/ 0 points/ bout 5 million miles logged now, maybe little more. Haha. Nothing like what it use to be out here. Including discrimination to ignorances of others. Its an industry that can burn you out, if you let it. Lol. I'm not one to throw people to the dirt. Believer of Karma.

Only joined this for the TS or transgender in trucking post. Which I'm finding difficulty in finding.

Swift Transportation - Reasons To Be Sent Home?

Swift, nor any other trucking company sends anyone home, for the beck of it. It's not cheap nor beneficial for any company, to do so. Makes zero sense. They all have their reasoning, for doing so.

Swift, isn't a bad company either. Don't believe everything you hear about them. They're actually a very good company or so my beliefs of them are. They are huge, no doubt, but as big companies go, they are far from the worst. Sure they may have a few bad drivers, as everyone does. But they get rid of them, just like everyone rider does. They just all to often, happen to be put on the spotlight quite often.

I worked for swift. Wasn't long either. But i had different reasons for leaving them. No fault of Swift. I had signed an agreement with another driver, from another company in California that i ran team with. Plain and simply put, if one left, the other had to. So i ended up turning truck back in and left gracefully. Not my happiest days for sure. Even when i was in orientation in Columbus, Ohio, the gal in charge called me into her office to ask me if i had a delivery to make and did i abandone a truck to come to orientation. I replied no. They were going to kick me out on my ex boss, making up stories, that i left the truck and load somewhere, to go to swifts school. Lol. After finding out that ex-boss was lying, she wanted to turn him into trucking association and i asked if she would abstain from doing so. Really good people. Very rare creatures. But still made me sign papers that stated i hadn't worked for them for like 3 weeks. I list a very good friend at swift. One I've airways felt horrible about. But still won't talk to me too this day. Can't really blame her. But had no idea my partner at time, had ran her so far into the dirt. Unbeknownst to me till our parting days.

Anyway, hope i didn't go off subject much. Wishing you all the very best.

I was wondering: What are some of the major reasons why people get sent home from trucking school? Do the Swift Recruiters do a thorough background check before they send you to their school first?
