That is exactly what I needed to know man. Yea I've had so many problems with my ears as a kid that I have been very hesitant about it. Surgeries and everything. Tubes I dont know how many times. Each time the doc looks in my ear all he talks about is all the scarring lol.

If you pass the hearing test you're good to go.

Different places use different tests for the hearing portion of the physical. I've had them actually whisper something then have me repeat what they said, and I've had to test twice with headphones on and I had to indicate hearing the various tones they were testing me with. They will look in your ear canal, but scarring or perforations are not disqualifiers. The part that will count against you is if you can't hear well enough to satisfy their requirements.

Mmk. Well I am hoping to hear an answer back from Prime tomorrow. Been studying and taking practice tests daily forever now it seems.

My question is on the DOT physical it only talks about hearing a forced whisper which I should be fine with.

However, I have also read that they look at scarring and perforated eardrums which I do have. Will this be an issue? Any input would be great help, thank you.
