I'm a rookie about to begin CDL school and begin a life of trucking "for the good old American life: For the money, for the glory, and for the fun... mostly for the money."

Hello everyone, I've been accepted to WilTrans CDL School. I will begin my training mid-December and I am really looking forward to becoming a trucker and learning the ropes. I want to chronicle my journey in the forum but before I do that I need some advice from the community about beginning trucking school: 1. If anyone has attended WilTrans training in particular I would love to hear about your experience and what I should expect from WilTrans training (even if you didn't attend WilTrans training please share your experience and help this rookie out). 2. Since I am beginning my training in the winter, what are some essential things I am going to need? I don't want to take up too much room on my trainer's truck but I also want to be prepared. I figure I will be away from home at least 3 months after beginning my training. Lastly, I have taken almost a year in making my decision regarding becoming a CDL Class A driver. I want to thank Trucking Truth and the TT's community for all the invaluable resources, diaries, study materials, trucking company reviews, etc that are found on this website. My choice was narrowed down to Millis Transfer and WilTrans, I was approved by both. I made the decision to run with WilTrans and feel very confident about their trucking company. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!!

Needing advice....
I've read what diaries are available for WilTrans. I thought maybe there were some current WilTrans drivers in the community that could give their insight. It's all good though, I'm prepared for this journey. Other than studying, I just need to get my winter gear game together, I'm sure I'll see some really cold parts of the US.
