So I am making a career change. I am brand new to the trucking industry as well as this forum. I have done alot of research and decided to reach out to TMC. I liked alot of what I read on this forum and other sources online. I talked it over with my family and decided to apply with TMC. I was offered a job obviously I will need to obtain my CDL'S to get into my own truck and hit the ground running. So far everything sounds good. They provide you with transportation to Des Moines, housing, 2 meals a day and $500 a week salary during the 19 day orientation / training period. I have to obtain my CDL learning permit prior to arrival at their facility. Then I will attend the training and take my CDL skills test the last day. Then they will send me home to team up with a trainer in my area so I can be home on the weekends while they are home. I will make $500 per week for the 5 weeks I am with the trainer. After that I will get put into my own truck with $1,000 guaranteed for the first 2 weeks. At the advice of my brother in law (former OTR) I will take percentage pay. I'm new to the game so any advice or experience with TMC will be greatly appreciated!! Looking forward to my new career.

TMC paid CDL Training
Right I definitely understand I'm not employed until I pass that skills test.
As far as the rules and keeping off the grass, I am an Army vet. Nothing new lol. Bring on the rules!
