I had no intentions of where this lead to. I felt I could defend some of my decisions as this progressed, but looking on it now, I realize I'm wrong entirely. I put the stuff down for good. I just needed to find a trucking job that didn't have company policy of hair testing. I'm in so much financial debt that trucking is the only job I'm qualified to do at this point that will pay me enough to clear my situation fast. I'm clean from the stuff, except my hair and have no intentions of looking back.i appreciate the concerns from all you members and despite my statements, I highly respect all you. Thanks gentlemen.

Gentlemen, professional drivers, and citizens of this forum. I have to look back at these posts and say, sincerely, your all right. I've made poor decisions, endangered lives, broken the law, and made myself look extremely stupid. There is no justification in anything I've said. I hope one day, and I'll work hard at it , to join the trucking industry again, as a rehabilitated professional driver. Until then I'll post only again when I have something positive to ad to this forum and to the trucking community. I appreciate all your views, and concerns, I really do. I don't hate on any of you, and I consider you all my fellow brother, even if it's not mutual. Thank you guys . I hope a good day, everyday to all you and your families.

If I got into an accident and someone got hurt, they would take my blood. If they found nothing they can't go on a forum and say you were under the influence in the past so your going to jail. I understand the risks I took and admit it was stupid. Btw alcohol is a totally different substance and I would never even think of driving a truck on any amount of alcohol. I don't even drive my car an hour after consuming 1 beer.i understand that it is illegal to consume cannabis and operate a vehicle. I was telling of my situation and experience and I don't support my actions as ok in any way to any driver. I admitted drugs and driving don't mix. I realize now the statements I've made were a mistake. However I did the job under wrong circumstances and I did it damn good for a long time, with no driver training. I had the keys thrown at me along with a dispatch and told get out there and get the job done.

G town, your putting words in my mouth ...am willing to bet NONE of the professionals or students on this forum would "smoke-it-up" while operating a CMV. I didn't say that, I asked if any of yous ever smoked pot, I did not imply if you've smoked and then drove. I'm just curious how many of you criticize and have never even tried it.

I still possess a CDL never been revoked. As of right now I can pass a d.o.t drug test. I just wanted to know about company policy if anyone knew. Hair fg follicle tests are not dot approved as of yet, so at this moment in time I am in the right to get back behind the wheel. I always drive the speed limit and get loads to destination on time. I just wanna keep trucking.

Not one of you said, that's good you stopped smoking. Ive had more pot than ever put in front of me since I stopped smoking and haven't even looked at it. I could go fake the test , but I went the right route this time. Yous call me all kinds of names and offer no support to better myself since I've stated my good intentions from this point on. I'm confindent I'm one of the safer drivers on the road. I know you will all disagree, but my record shows it. And under the influence. You call it lucky, but after nearly half a million miles with no truck schooling, it's pure skill. Anyways I've cleaned up and admit I've took risks, so guys I'm not gonna say anything bad about your point of views and concerns. A little support in my new found ways will be appreciated.

I'm willing to bet that none of you have ever smoked pot. it's not like your on heroin. In fact I've been on the stuff for 14 years , about 95% of the time under the influence behind the wheel, and I've never been involved in an accident. I've drove at night , in the rain, through the fog ,up and down hills. Learned to drive a 13 speed in 1 hour by myself with no training and my record and performance is flawless. I will say this, I agree driving and drugs don't mix. If I waited 6 months and fired up 2 hits, I would be wrecked. Your body builds a tolerance. A couple Toke's for me barely did anything to me. Not like a pothead smoking a whole joint and getting stoned. Can any drivers that smoked or smokes chime in here.

I suppose I could ask him. I didn't want to ask , it seems suspicious in my opinion. I was a regular smoker, I've put it down for good, that was over a month ago.im good on a urine test, but I can't wait 3 months to pass a hair test. I drove 5 years regional, while on the stuff behind the wheel. No accidents. It didn't affect my driving, in fact I drove better, however I didn't get stoned, just a couple puffs in the loading dock to relax.
