Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
So your saying get it transferred right when I get into Missouri if I can and if not I'll have to retest? I'd be fine having to retest if I needed too.

Yeah i'll wait till I get out on my own and not in training. And i'll do what everyone else recommends and not use it a lot while driving and only use it during emergency's and focus mostly on the road and only use it when I can set the cruise control and still keeping an eye on the road for following distance and checking the mirrors around me and everything else like that.

Hi there, I was wondering which headset you would recommend for a new trucker. I’ve heared of Blue Parrot but haven’t really heared of any other brands. I was wondering if you could toss me some ideas on what brand to be looking for. I was thinking of purchasing one when I get onto a truck for PSD training. Thank you!

Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
Yeah, I decided to stay in Missouri with my parents. Thing is, I already have my permit in Colorado since that's where I've been and I was told to get my permit before coming to orientation. So, i'm guessing we would go to the DMV in Missouri and I would get my regular licence transferred over to Missouri at the same time that I get my permit transferred over. I just hope that the DMV will be open (due to COVID) so I can do all that. I might look into trying to get my regular licence transferred over before orientation starts since I know for sure that I will be staying in Missouri and not going back to Colorado. Do you think that's the best way to go about it? Or do you think I should do both at the same time?

Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
I have not looked into CFI. I told my parents this morning that i'm buying the first ticket possible to fly home and will still be talking to my recruiter during this whole process and crossing my fingers that they have a slot for me in the next couple weeks at orientation since that's the stage i'm at, just waiting for an orientation date. My fiance is on board with everything and we're finishing getting our stuff packed up and looking for plane tickets that leave as soon as possible.

Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
I do have another question, sorry to keep making new replies. I was wondering if, I should mention to my recruiter that i'm a smoker if they don't ask about it or if I should leave it until I get to the Orientation and go through the physical and if I should even mention it there? I know I'll have a choice between a smoker and a non smoker truck so i'd request a smoker out of consideration to my trainer. So basically, I was wondering if I should tell my recruiter about it before I leave in the next few days to go back east or if I should just mention it at the physical at orientation.

You got this! Keep it up, i'm working on mine too even though I haven't officially decided on a company yet (Probably going with Prime). I still think it's important to study as much as possible and keep going over it again and again until you know it forwards and backwards.

Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
Pretty sure I want to go with Prime or Swift, i'm talking (have been talking) to my Recruiters about my wanting to move back east to where my parents are. They live in Missouri, so i'd probably choose Prime but i'm also still considering Swift. I'm also going to be getting married and my Fiance wants to be a truck driver too. Hence why we're considering (EVENTUALLY) possibly going with team driving. If my Fiance changes their mind though, i'm perfectly happy to do single. Lots to consider still, but I will keep my recruiters updated with my plans. My lease in Colorado ends at the end of the month but their considering letting me out of it early so I can head back east. I'm super excited about all the changes that will be happening but also a little bit nervous, but I can get through it cause I know I have the willpower to succeed.

Still trying to decide which company to do training through.
Hi there, I've got offers from three different companies (Swift, Prime, US Express) and I can't decide which company I want to do training through, I know the'll send me to training wherever they need too but I need help deciding which company is better to go through to start and hopefully stay at for a long time. I know that I want to do OTR and might look into doing team at somepoint. I live in Colorado, so i'm not sure what my options are and where their closest training centers are. I'm right at the beginning phase of looking and deciding who to go through. Thank You for letting me vent kind of and any advice on the companies would be appreciated. Thank You,

Question about PSD
I was wondering when you stop driving when your being trained for PSD, does the truck stop? Or does the trainer keep driving? I was just wondering because from what I understand the trainer HAS to be in the passenger seat the whole time that you are behind the wheel. So that leaves me wondering when does the trainer sleep? I would assume that the trainee would switch back and fourth between day and night driving and that when they ran their clock out the truck would stop for the night until the clock was refreshed but if that was the case, than i'd be worrying about making the load drops on time. That's why I was just wondering when the trainer sleeps during PSD.
