Request Advice for Private CDL Schools in the NJ or PA

Hi G-Town,

Thank you very much indeed for your comprehensive reply. I do not want to be under the contract due to paid CDL training. I used the Trucking Truth CDL training program and read Brett`s book, and I would like to get a manual-drive license. Most companies offer automatic transmission training and that doesn`t work for me. I understand your points and read articles very well but I would like to apply to companies with CDL license.

Regards

Request Advice for Private CDL Schools in the NJ or PA

Hi Trucker Guys,

First of all, I would like to thank Brett Aquila for the fantastic website and especially for the CDL training part. I am a retired Navy Captain (From the Turkish Navy) and it happened, Today 3 February, three years since I arrived in this great country for my daughter and my son`s education. Not for my dream. But I can easily say that the American Dream is so true. Honestly, I learned that through our survival period when we landed on her. I loved this country more than any place because it provides more and the people born here may not understand as we do. However, I came to a point to validate my dream since I entered the Naval High School 40 years ago. My father was a Truck driver in Europe and I had very good times with him in my home country and abroad. We traveled a lot together and those days are still very fresh in my memory and will remember forever. Circumstances, dreams, and ambitions were totally different and those days all gone. When I came to the NJ, I worked as a general manager in a small marble company and did tons of gig jobs to survive until I found my business with my wife in Livingston NJ. I spent hard times but everything was easy when we look at positively. We experienced a new life, country, friends and social environment. It was hare but it was great and joyful. In the end, I understood that I have to do my own business or drive a truck as my father did until he was 65. Our current business is serving well and my wife has the whole control and my daughter has already gotten acceptances from several colleges. My Son is studying at the NJIT and working at the same time as a teaching assistant. I have taken lots of additional certificates and graduated even from a Data Science course. But I thought that sitting behind the table is not for me at all. So the time has just came for my turn. I can drive a big rig now. I did my job at home and now my term. We`re living in Montclair NJ. I passed the CDL exams but the only one left, double/triple, it would be on coming Friday. I am looking for private schools and would like to get manual training. Because I used manually through all my life except for the last three years in the USA. I have found three schools, one is EZ Wheels in Elizabeth NJ, the other one is the Roadmaster Drivers in Allentown PA (one hour away from my apartment) and there is also another one in the Philadelphia ASAP CDL school.

Would you pls advise me if you are familiar with those schools and is there any other option you may credit for?

Sorry for making a headache with a broken English and a long introductory. Thanks to everyone in advance. I felt very comfortable in the Data Science community because they are very helpful for every issue we discussed when I studied Data Science and still working on some pieces. And I am sure I would be also very comfortable in this community. I know we would have a destiny together.

My Best Regards

Michael
