Fired

Thank u rock that is 1 St positive reply I have had.

Your new trucking career is not finished for a backing accident. This is a hard profession to learn and takes some time. Yes you made a mistake but try to learn from it. Start applying to other companies. I would not volunteer the reason you got fired. Eventually you will find a company desperate for drivers. Get your first 1 to 2 years of experience and then look for a better truck job.

This incident has taught me a tremendous lesson . In June I will have been driving for 47 years and have Never had a wreck. Well my streak is over at the most terrible time. I am a big boy I will land on my feet some were. My dream is and was Finnish up my working carrier as a trucker?? Any suggestions or ideas R most welcome. Home spot is Las Vegas and am trying to get back to Indianapolis,my 1st grand baby will B here in early August Phyced up but we're the job is so b it. Thank u guys for any suggestions. John

G.O.A.L. You neglected this basic fundamental approach to safe backing.

All the more reason, since you were dead tired.

Am I done as far as trucking ???

What should I do?

? Ready go to CDL training but worried badly. Its about my work history. They want 3 years at the least of history. I have 1 yr. verifiable as far as W2 I have been working under the table finding sales leads for a company sense 2012. I have been on disability for 6 years, theres no way to survive on the little $$ I would get. ? The sales job will provide verification to the company I am going to school with. I was a commercial flooring installer from 1979 to 2010 when the economy and my hip was replaced. Should I tell the realities of this or just go with the sales job and the 1 I have been doing for 1 year ??

? concerning my DOT physical

Woow my BP is lower already THX John

A one year card is not a problem.

Your post has me puzzled though. You didn't say if you are on blood pressure meds. That is typically the reason for a one year card. Usually if you're not on blood pressure medication and your blood pressure is too high, they only give you a three month card so you can get the medication going and come back later to be retested. They don't just issue a one year card because your blood pressure is too high.

Remember, you will go through another physical at Prime. Each time you get a new medical card the prior one is no longer valid. If you are not taking blood pressure meds and your blood pressure reads correct at your Prime physical, you may end up with a 2 year card after all. But, if you are on blood pressure meds you will always get a one year card even if your pressure reading is good.

It's not a problem. The industry runs on blood pressure meds and coffee. You're in good company.
