Am I too old to get my CDL

51 myself got my CDL earlier this year. Got accepted to attend orientation at a good flatbed company supposed to start early October. While I have always been athletic and fit, I find myself doubting myself whether I will be able to not only physically deal with in (especially as winter approaches) but more so mentally. Having come from a cushy office job making twice the money, mentally I know it may be a difficult transition.

Would you drive for Melton?

Hi, I received an offer from Melton also. I am and old timer (51) switching gears after years in a cubicle. Supposed to start orientation 9/20, though I may push it to the following week because I have to tie up some loose ends at home. I am North of Atlanta, planning on renting a car rather than taking the Greyhound. I had a bad experience a long time ago on Greyhound and will never do that again. Those things are like rolling cell blocks. When are you starting orientation?

Is Melton a good company to drive for? Would you drive for Melton? Just got an offer to drive for them.

I would really like to hear what you have to say.
