Will any companies hire you if you just recently get your DL back offer not having it for years??

I lost my DL back in 2011. I just got it back about a month ago. I have been looking into getting my CDL but wanted to know if it would be a waste of time since I having had my DL back for very long. Can anyone help me out? If there are companies out there that will hire me I'm also interested in finding a company sponsored CDL training program to attend. Thanks!!!
