Will Any Companies Hire You If You Just Recently Get Your DL Back Offer Not Having It For Years??

I lost my DL back in 2011. I just got it back about a month ago. I have been looking into getting my CDL but wanted to know if it would be a waste of time since I having had my DL back for very long. Can anyone help me out? If there are companies out there that will hire me I'm also interested in finding a company sponsored CDL training program to attend. Thanks!!!

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

How did you lose it??

And realistically you will probably have to wait a minimum of 1 year before any company will even consider you.

That was my question too..... I mean out here in OR and WA, if you have a third dui its 4 years gone.....to lose a license for 9 years??? What happened??
