Look for advice

Good day All, so I am a school bus driver and looking to move to the CDL'A so I would like to ask if you had a chance to pay out pocket or do the company sponsor to go to trucking school which one would you choose I was told that paying out of pocket dose not help finding a place to work because there's no experience behind it. How true is this. Or is it better to go with a company Thanks in advance for your help
