Heard New Year's Eve the 2014 DOT physical will have BMI requirements

I know here at Prime, the max that will not trigger you having to do a sleep study to determine if you have sleep apnea is I believe 34 or 35. Anything above that you will be required to do a sleep study (at your expense). Most times (not always) the results will come back that you will need a CPAP machine to help with your sleep apnea.

So Rob Low must own the company building the CPAP machines, too........ shocked.png

K&B Transportation

I'd be curious what decision you reached, David. I'm seriously considering making a move to K&B myself. The money sounds good, the equipment sounds good, and if they run you like Guy was taking about, that's pretty much what I'm looking for.

Tired of sitting on my tail waiting for load assignments from so-called professional fleet managers where I am now. That ain't no way to make money.....

Low status stigma of Truck Driver?

Truck driver is ranked down there with janitor. It is a little embarrassing telling my friends and family I want to be a truck driver after all I achieved in life.

I guess image matters at my age. Who am I trying to impress? I knew a guy who quit his cushy 100k John Hopkins Medical Research position to become a limousine driver.

Is status over rated?

Todd, I don't know "your age" is and it really doesn't matter.

The only image you need to concern yourself with is the one in the mirror when you're shaving. As long as you're OK with it, why would you care what somebody else sees when they look at you?

And the only "status" that matters is what people will say about you at your funeral. And then it isn't going to matter to you at all!

Is status overrated? When you consider that all worm food is pretty much the same and that's how we all end up, one has to pretty much say yes, doesn't he?

Prime Inc. trainer wants to take time off but I'm stuck

I had a similar situation down in FL when I was in TNT. My trainer paid for the motel room. Get in touch with his (also you husband's) fleet manager. He or she will straighten it out.
