Thanks for the info. I figured I'd be out with Melton at least 3-4 weeks at a time. That's what their recruiter told me as well, and I have yet to see any Melton trucks around here. The recruiter told me for home time dispatch would get me close to home (100-150 miles) and I'd take my truck home with me. My biggest problem then would be finding a place to park. There's not much room on my street. There is a Walmart nearby though :).

They are actually a subsidiary of Trans-System, Inc. (TSI). TSI runs System Transport, TWT & James J. Williams. Their HQ is in Spokane.

Has anyone out there ever driven for System Transport? I'm getting ready to start CDL school in about a week. I have a pre-hire letter from them and I've also been talking to a recruiter for Melton. I'm very impressed with what I've learned about Melton and their starting pay is very good but System has a California Regional division that I may be able to transfer to after 6 months that would get me home most weekends. I still have plenty of time to make up my mind so I'm trying to gather all the info I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
