Almost ready to go.

Some companies are not sending by bus due to covid. They are reimbursing car rental. Be sure to ask about that. It might be extra money u need to fork out upfront.

Thank you Kearsey, if some companies are reimbursing car rental then it would be convenient for me. But i don't mind the Greyhound. Now i do have some cash saved up that i do plan on using if needed. I wonder if it's any rental agencies and i just did a quick research on young drivers fee and most agencies are waiving it also due to covid through august 31 for renters ages 21-24. But i actually turn 25 on the 27 so lucky me.

Almost ready to go.

Hello TruckingTruth and member. I have been seriously considering a career in trucking particularly OTR. I have done research on the lifestyle and believe that being single would help, but i'm not sure. In the past week so far, i have gotten a DOT physical exam with my 2 year medical, studied the CDL Manual and watch somewhat boring but worth it practice test on YouTube. Yesterday i went to my local DMV to take the written test. I received a 90% on General Knowledge, 95% on Tanker endorsement, and i forgot which but 85% and 90% on Air Brakes and Combination Vehicles. So far I feel relieved. I've also taken the time to utilize TruckingTruth forum for extensive research. Not sure if there's something wrong with my computer, but i'm not able to access the search feature for this forum or if i'm too new on here so i ended up googling "truckingtruth (topic i'm looking into)". Right now i'm preparing myself for a greyhound bus trip for cdl training since i saw a few topics on greyhound. I have so many questions that i would like to add on later especially the job application, transportation to cdl training, food/meal, housing, recruiter, DOT and permit beneficial, and a few more. Thank to any future replies. I'm quite stoke after receiving my CDL/CLP even thought i have a temp and the 6 months won't come for the next 30 days. Thank you.
