Broker's fee

New to hotshot trucking (6 months), currently working under someone else's authority. Recently (last week) saw a new fee on my contract for the first time, for ME to pay a broker's fee of $75 to the broker. Has anyone had this fee before? Is this a fair and legal fee? The broker has already been paid, why am I (the driver) paying a broker fee. I currently have a dispatcher and do not find my own loads. Again today i saw another broker fee for me to pay for $50, they want it cashapp or zelled to them.
