Trailer Parking For Home Time

Hi guys, I am new to truck driving. I just went through CDL school and in a week I will be getting my own truck. My question is. How does one find a decent place to park your trailer on home time? The company I work for requires in writing the "ok to park" from wherever I find. Do I just start calling different companies around me that can fit a 48'? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
