Seized Morgan box ubolt nut

The uboltz that hold the Morgan box are so long 16 inches that the spring in the steel make impact wrenches or cheater bars on the nut ineffective. I have a socket that fits on their really well, the bolt is just so long if flexes before the nut turns or absorbs all of the impact wrench action. Anyone have any tips for getting that to torque with an impact gun?
