How's Everyone Doing? How is Freight? Not Many Posts Lately

These past few weeks and months things been good, getting 40hrs a week and trying to haul asss. How ever this week I’ve been told fright has slammed to a halt up in main for us. It doesn’t help one of the paper mills we haul out of blew up

So it’s been awhile.

Hello everyone, I know it’s been a while since I last posted. But I have good news, bad news and ok news. Ok so I’ve broken my “curse” where I can’t seem to hold a trucking job for longer than six months. Wel now I’ve been with western express for two years and I’ve been accident free for a year now. The only issues o ever had where relitivly minor but that’s par for the course.

For those who don’t remember I was placed on a dedicated account in Maine I go to Kingfield and south Portland, shuttling Poland loads sadly well even after the year they arnt cutting it. I’m making minimum weekly pay. (Due to lack of empty’s or dealing with a seperate issue) I’m much better at doing what I need to do ina. Truck than o was when with prime, snchieder ext. The biggest gripes I have and I’m sure a few of you have done this is that from time to time I would be asked to take a damaged trailer from a Poland facility and bring it to the shop the last one was just scary one of the breaks was so shot the service guy have to chain it up and I had to take it to the shop that was an hour away. Now please I’m not trying to be a rat or anything because my time with western was mixed. I’m in the process of considering going to Hartt or Rc Moore bolth have some good deals as far as local/semi local work goes. Though I may consider regional. But right now I’m in the painful process of writing up a 2 weeks notice. As much as I hate to do it.

Are you still with Western Express now? You stated earlier that you have had trouble holdin a truckin job for 6 mos or more. What I personally recommend you do is try to switch divisions WITHIN Western Express. With your record of job hoppin or switchin companies you want to stay with Western for 10 years UNLESS you explain to a recruiter of a company you absolutely 100% want to go with and have them confirm BEFORE you apply that they can give you a conditional offer of employment for what you want. If you do that then make ABSOLUTELY sure that’s what you want to do before ya make yet another change.

I’ve Worked with western for two years starting next week. There are more reasons for the possible change. It’s not over a few bad days it’s been like this since I’ve started this dedicated route and honesty while I could ask to go back to regional they have a tun of trouble getting loads to and from Maine. I may be wrong but Poland is the only gate way out of Maine, though there’s a small hand full of receivers up there. There is allot more going on than what I’m telling you guys. Mainly I don’t want to sound ugly. It’s just a general update to say I’m still trucking

One good thing though is I got a new truck and free food when I started :D

OH YEAH OH MY WORD!! This was Honestly Beyond what I Thought Would Be Possible but this has just blown my mind........

Omg a ghost! Jk Anyway, I've been with western for a couple of years now. Honestly, this is a last resort company, use them to clean your record but expect some things to rise up. They are ok, but not perfect good luck

Unloaded some baggage

Someone flipping you off causes your heart to race? Yikes.

So ask your self the following questions:

[/quote]

How many times per day is this actually happening; once or twice? Or much more than that?

Once a week so far

Is it happening on the Interstate?

*exit/enter ramp, interstate, back roads with a accident on the way with one side being closed.

Are you maintaining lane control, especially through turns?

Yes I make sure to maintain lane control to the best of my ability.

When you move out to pass someone, is it an all day affair, or is it over in a minute or so?

I only pass of im able to pass as quickly as possible. And some one lets me into the lane to pass. Other than that I stick to the right lane.

In optimal conditions; clear, calm and light traffic, are you moving at the posted speed limit, or 5-10 miles below?

My tuck is stuck at 63 and I have to keep my foot on the gas due to my tuck having two codes and my dms reluctantly not sending me in for pms to get that fixed.

The fact you admitted it's causing you stress and anxiety is concerning.

Rarely do I have a full blown attack being in a truck for almost two years tells me I can do this I’m just a tad perplexed. The only reason my heart races is due to thinking they will break check me and I’ll end up crashing into them.

Unloaded some baggage

Recently I’ve been transferred to a dedicated account for Walmart via western express.(Raymond nh) for 180 per day six days a week it’s not bad. Anyways this isn’t about that. Actually I’ve been perturbed by people flipping me off out of no where. It’s been kicking my anxiety into low gear. (Meaning I breath heavily heart races and so on) all three times (so far) I’ve done nothing as far as I know wrong except for one time I had my left signal on to long. Guy break character me and flipped me off. I’m trying to fiqure out why this is becoming more frequent. Like once a week some one flips me off for no reason

ELD with cell phone

I’m assuming you are using big rigs eld application. It works somewhat the same, given you have a data plan, besides that you have to manually set your duty statuses, city’s and so in

Personal Dash Cams

Get a cobra hd drive. Sure it’s pricey but it has loop, park mode and there is a app that can provide location so long you have the jd drive player on your pc(not good for editing sadly)
