Elds are causing issues (another one of those articles)

I don't know anything about ELDs other than what information is available online about them, but in regarding the 14hr clock, cant the ELDs be manipulated manually using annotations and editing so the ELD can record when the vehicle is actually on duty and not just being moved for maintainence?

For that you have to be logged out sure you can edit onduty and that’s it... i love the cookie jar story lol!

Elds are causing issues (another one of those articles)

Mom said no cookies. Mom walks in, there are no cookies left. Crumbs. She knows the crumbs are cookie crumbs and they are on my shirt... but she can’t really prove it was me that ate them and it’s just speculation really... she thinks she saw crumbs from cookies but it coulda been anything I’ll be ok I’m not in trouble...

The next day...

Mom said no cookies. They sure look good. BUZZ BUZZ what the heck mom put a buzzer on the lid to warn me. :( I can get one close it and the buzzer will turn off and by the time she gets here there’s no proof it was me :) I’m not in trouble...

The next day...

Crazy, Annoying, or funny Cb encounters

Post some of your most interesting encounters on the cb radio here. Ill start off with a few storys.

95 South Mass: Herd a driver complaining about traffic mad a light joke about it. The guy said I should speak english and went on a tandem. Claiming to be a 'pure blooded american.'

Near Newtown, Pa: Spoke breifly to a Random guy with a cb called wb40 . Seemed alright wasnt disrupted. (was kinda using it as a perosnal radio station

Chesapeek Va, to the Chesapeak tunnels.: Ive met some Disruptive random guy with a cb(not a driver) by the name of Plumb crazy, He was being obnoxious. I tried to tell him to stop and say 19 is needed to post a advisery (and there was one) He refuse.

Being a trainee at Prime is an awful experience.

First let me say,

Prime itself is an excellent company. Never seen a company so willing to do things just to make it's employee's a little hapier. The problem is not them, it's the fact that there last phase of training forces you to share a truck with a random owner operator for two months.

It is awful. They don't care about their own health and make no time to do anything for it. I will want to take 45 min to exercise but he doesn't want to make time for that due to the load being due, but then will sit on the phone talking for an hour while doing nothing.

I've informed him numerous times that I can't sleep when the heat is blasting, but he blast it anyway. Then when it's my turn to drive he'll turn off my a/c and make me drive with heat on. So I'm sleepy from being overheated at night and miserable while driving also.

Curses constantly and I hate profanity. Talks to me like a child, even though he drives awful swerving and hitting lines. I rarely do that.

There are so many things, but I'm afraid to get a different trainer because he could be worse, because my pad was worse . He actively TRIED to make me miserable including trying to coerce me into drinking and smoking, neither of which I do.

I'm only two weeks in and im wondering if I have the strength to make it another 2 months will dirty arrogant trucker aholes.

Ugh

I would get a new trainer expressly if he tried to get you into something your not comfortable with. Before ever saying yes to a trainer get to know them. You’ll thank me later
