No that was labeled as a conviction not all probation results in deferred adjudication so after my probation it still got put on my record
Hey Chris, help me out. I'm a little confused about your situation.
You said this...
I caught a felony in 2014 and got off probation and early 2016 that's been almost 8 years ago.If you were on probation, then you really don't have a conviction. Am I correct on this? Isn't probation considered as deferred adjudication and not really a felony conviction? I'm certainly no attorney, but that's the way I understand it. Maybe different states handle it differently.
Can you give us more information?

Thanks this at least gives me where to start looking and I appreciate that
I could provide you with our list, but you would probably consider it outdated.
You need to apply everywhere and just see who shows some interest. Many companies will consider felonies on a case by case basis.
You have to realize hiring of drivers is tough right now anyway. You already have some strikes against you making it extra hard. Be persistent and resilient - that will pay off for you.
Oh, what the heck, here's a list...

I am soon to graduate CDL School and and I'm looking for a company who will take me in as a new unexperienced driver. I caught a felony in 2014 and got off probation and early 2016 that's been almost 8 years ago. I also have a misdemeanor that I caught about 2 years ago but the case got dismissed .I'm thinking that I could probably pass the 7-year background check but I think most of the companies do a 10 year background check. Do you think that a dismissed charge could be a hindrance to finding a job? Also do you know of any companies that maybe only go back 5 years or are willing to accept felons? There are a lot of list floating around but they all seem to be outdated

Can you let me know where you got your training?
I know Roehl transportation pays from day one even when you're in a classroom but I think it's only $500 a week until you start training
Almost forgot. They also need to accept drivers from North Carolina AND Florida because I'm going to eventually use Good Sam Mail Service so I can get a residential address through them so I can live in the truck. Thanks again!

I am signed up to go Wilson logistics in Springfield Missouri soon do they let you park your car at the terminal? The reason why I ask is because as of right now I do have a place to stay but once I commit to the truck driving I will no longer be able to stay here I don't want to put it in storage because that can get expensive and I already have to pay the car note on it

Oh I plan to I'm about to get my own private hair test done before I go to make sure I can pass
Before going to Roehl I advise you too make sure you can pass, not just think so. They don’t mess around.

I have I haven't done it in a long time I'm taking this very seriously and my paragraph isn't punctuated because I use text to talk
Ever hear of punctuation?
Stay off drugs before getting into the industry. Stay away from drugs if employed within this industry. Problem solved.

Can you get your CDL permit in one state but actually take your CDL test in another state? The reason I ask is because I live in Nevada and to go to another state for training at some point after you get trained I believe they send you back to your home state so you can set up a CDL test but is there any way I could just take my CDL test in the same state as I did training? It's about 1700 miles away from me and to be honest I'll be leaving my apartment as soon as I go so it's not like I'll exactly have a place to come back to so I was hoping maybe I could just take my test in the same state as my training so I don't have to worry about it but I at least need the permit to be able to go

Unusual situation
I am due to leave CDL training school soon and I'm wondering if anyone else has the same issue as me. My issue is that I live in one state but plan to move my items and things to another state closer to my family but not actually move there just while I'm on the road, I know a lot of these trucking companies offer you a bus ride to the training facility. will I be able to ask them to buy my ticket from a different city than where I currently live at
