Even if all three companies are owned by heartland I should be able to explain that or would they not see it that way. My Pops told me too if CFI doesn’t get me out in two weeks go to another company right now they got me in a hotel waiting for about a week now.

I'd highly suggest you stay right where you're at and gain some experience. Depending on how the transfers are documented it could show that you've worked for 3 separate companies in less than 6 months. Huge red flag and right now most companies have limited freight and can afford to be picky with who they hire.

I meant to say my Trainer husband 🤦🏾‍♂️ my bad

double-quotes-start.png

.

And what do you mean when you say “trucker husband”?

"then when I got to 9000 miles something changed my training (should be a period/end of sentence here)

"The" husband was in the hospital

Bruce,

He didn't say anything about a trucker husband. Just that his husband was in the hospital.

My trainer was a older lady and I obtained my cdl through mills but I was transferred to heartland and now to cfi

Kerrell, I’m sorry you have had such a difficult time getting into driving.

But your comments confuse me and I’m not sure I understand your current status.

Did you obtain your CDL from a private school? If so, are they able to help you find a company to work for?

Are you physically capable of doing flatbed work? Maverick Transportation is located in Arkansas.

And what do you mean when you say “trucker husband”?

Sent Home From Roehl

I was trained and got my CDL with Roehl, and my experience was just the opposite. Roehl takes training very seriously and gives you literally everything you need to learn and pass the test. Unless there are some paperwork or personal attitude issues it is very difficult to be sent home by this company. Are you telling the whole story? Which location were you trained at?

I told the whole story but you have to understand we are two different people. That had two different experiences. No company is perfect you may love roehl but i have a disdain for them and its ok for us to have two different opinions. I went to another company and graduated no problem.

Sent Home From Roehl

Because, because, because. How is a new company or private school going to be different this time? If you weren't ready, it was your job to speak up. It was on you to ask for more help. You may wind up getting into a stand alone driving school for lots of $$$$, but that doesn't promise a job afterwards. Good luck to you.

I don’t know why I decided to come back to this but my cdl journey has been a hard one. But to answer your question I did speak up and a different company did help because I have my cdl now. But now that I have my cdl doesn’t mean my hardship has ended. Quitting would be the easy way and I choose not to quit.

So after 7 months of waiting hardwork and let downs I finally got my cdl. Back in January I signed up for roehl started class back in February and was told to go home because they felt I wouldn’t pass the cdl test because I couldn’t get the 90. So I went home defeated but didn’t quit but that’s when I found Millis on this site actually. But they couldn’t hire me because I’m from Arkansas but told me I can attend their school and transfer me to heartland. So I started school in April signed my contract saying I’ll work for heartland for a year. Funny thing is they sent me to Texas the school they can’t test out of state students at so I graduated with no cdl. Went home in May waiting for a trainer and at the end of May I had a trainer only thing I’m a heavyset guy 350lb and my trainer was as well. So they put me on a manual with another trainer she slept on the top bunk and I on the bottom. Millis only has automatics so my trainer spent 2 weeks teaching me to shift while we was on the road doing loads. The requirement was 15000 miles and then I get my own truck but then when I got to 9000 miles something changed my training husband was in the hospital and they sent me to go test on Millis school truck in Georgia which is a automatic. I passed but now I have no trainer so they pawned me off to CFI and I start all over with there training program. I wanted to stay at heartland because the pay was better and I wanted to do regional but CFI doesn’t off regional for Arkansas. Is there any companies that’ll hire new grads and regional for Arkansas? Also would I still be under contract with heartland even though they transferred me to CFI. Technically they fired me so I wouldn’t think I would be. Just like Millis technically fired me to transfer me to heartland.

Lost my wallet

Yes, call the recruiter right now! No photo copies of a birth certificate, a passport or a social security card are allowed. You cannot start without at least least one of these documents.

I have my birth certificate the original I’m just worried about my dl and permit I won’t be able to contact my recruiter until tomorrow.

New opportunity

Today I got approved for Millis trucking school in Texas after roehl sent me home for not passing my pre cdl because I timed out on the 90. That was in February some back story I’m from a small town in Arkansas. For 4 years I was in the phone business single male 29 no kids made 53000 last year before I quit in September and went into the car business. My gf lived in Little Rock which is 45 mins away so I started looking at jobs and places up there. Got an apt and start at Crain Hyundai before I quit my job. Well the car business wasn’t for me I got laid off in January. So my stepdad an owner operator told me to get into trucking. I got accepted into roehl and the week before I was supposed to leave my car broke down and yes it my fault. By march I lost my apartment and all of my things. People has told me you have to go thru these challenges in order to come out stronger. I believe this is it and I’ll come out on top.

Sent Home From Roehl

If we have been given all the information, the only thing I can think of is that maybe Roehl has raised their standards due to less demand for new drivers.

Yeah I’m pretty sure that was it since I’m still rehireable with roehl and I don’t owe them for school since I didn’t take the test. But I just got approved today with a better opportunity to train with Millis and work for heartland after I obtain my cdl.
