Looking at beginning this journey

Trucking is something I've wanted to do since I was a child, kind of got stuck in some dead end jobs and recently got let go from my retail job of 5 years and figured now's the time to pursue it. I am looking at going to Prime for my training and going as a company driver. (not interested in lease at all)

I've been watching YouTube videos and studying for my Permit here in PA.

my biggest concern now, if I start with prime in June (I have a scheduled 2 week vacation in may, so that's why the wait) If I let them know I have to be home August 28th to Aug 31st for my Brothers Wedding, Could they make that happen. or would I be better off to just vegetate at home until after then go away to training?

I want to get started as soon as possible because I hate sitting at home collecting on Unemployment.

Look forward to talking with some of you to get a better idea of what i should do.
