Anyone familiar with Prime 3 day orientation for CDL holders?

I am wondering what the 3 days consist of? When do you meet your trainer? I believe when you come already with your CDL, you are considered an employee. I know there are DOT physicals but do you do road tests, pre trip, etc?

Feel free to contact me for any questions or concerns. I can walk you through the entire program. Good luck!

Not to hi-jack this thread but I sure would appreciate any recommendation on a Springfield trainer from you or OldSchool...if even they would agree. smile.gif

OS wouldn't know he doesn't drive for Prime. Just be proactive really. There's a million students and only a 100 instructors, make yourself stand out from the crowd. Engage in conversations, be polite and when it's Pretrip inspection time you better be having your head under that hood. They're looking for students who want to learn and not stand all day and chat.

Sound advice! Thanks!

Any questions feel free to contact me, I was an Instructor at Prime and still work for them as a solo driver.

I'm still technically an Instructor/Trainer I just choose to drive a LW truck and run solo. I could be ready for a student in a week if I wanted to. But it'll take a whole lot more convincing! Might need to bribe me!

Congratulations! I am joining them as well and start orientation soon.

I researched (in great detail) every company on this site, and a few that aren't. Prime fits every aspect of what I'm looking for. It's hard to find an employer that will meet all of your expectations. I sent my DD214 and completed an application. Contingent upon acceptance, I look forward to a new career. See y'all on the road

Schneider overnight parking designations?

Great advice...and I'm sure others will benefit as well!

Schneider overnight parking designations?

Thanks OS. Yeah, I just didn't know if most companies have GPS's on their trucks and if they would say anything...or even if it's a big deal. It sounds like if you do your job effectively and efficiently, no problem. I'm new at this and was wondering about the 'big brother is watching' mentality...

I am considering starting with Schneider but does anyone know if they allow o/n parking in areas other than truck stops or their O.C.? Ever seen one elsewhere?
