An in-depth look inside my LW truck (a must see!)

Thank you very much for bumping this threadbDaniel. I just got accepted to prime shipping out on Jan 3rd. How do you like Prime? Is there anything that should be aware of coming in as a rookie to make my life easier and to keep me rolling?

State Blacklisted

So I was running hard towards Knight Transportation after reading through this website and doing some research online. I completed my CDL Permit this past Monday thanks to the study guide on this site, solely. I called Kristy my recruiter at Knight on Monday after getting my paper copy of my permit here in NC, and left her a message. Called back Tues a couple times, and left messages, and then called today and finally got her. Apparently she can't assist me any longer because Knight has Blacklisted NC and 5 other states for CDL trainees. She would not give any more information than that, and just said sorry can't help you any longer. I called Prime and filled an app out with them, and they were like a Blackout for NC, what is wrong with NC? So I was wondering if you guys have experienced this before and what is usually the cause of these Blackouts. I live like 20 mins from the Knight Terminal here in Charlotte, so I find it kind of crazy.

My experience with Knight Transportation

Found this is after Drew replied to my post. After reading all of this that pretty much seals the deal for me...bummed about lack of power in trucks but that is a small sacrifice for being treated well at a company. So out of curiosity what do you guys eat on the road to keep it cheap? I want to run bare min costs while I am out so my wife has the money to take care of herself and the kids. How well do those coolers work that you wereceived talking about drew, the 12v iceless cooler I believe. I am hoping to have my permit in the next week or so...been studying the high road stuff :).

LooKing for knight employees

I am looking to heAR from and talk to some knight Trans employees. Looking at going there and interested in how the sliding pay works for drivers policies on for ides and microwave owavez in trucks and overall quality of life there.

Ok so I was trying to post that on my smartphone, and the keyboard is a pain in the butt. What I was getting at was..I am wanting to hear from some drivers that are currently or have worked for Knight Transportation. I am looking at them really hard because of their pay through CDL school, and they have a Terminal here in Charlotte NC. They also give you a full size truck, Prime looks like they have been pushing people into the Lightweights. While it is more money, I think I would rather have the space since that is going to be my new home. I was also wondering about the allowance of fridges and microwaves tvs for downtime in the truck. If anyone wants to weigh in with other starter companies policies on these things I am open to hear them, and it may change my mind and cause me to look towards a different route. Thanks in advance.
