John M.'s Bio

Well I;m 53 and starting my adventure. I drove belly dump. Many moons ago out in Az. And enjoyed it. I then got into carpenter for many yrs. Now I'm tired of it. I am widowed lost my wife to cancer in 2012. Kids are all on there own . So I figured why not go for it. Well I'm going to try this again, I did go and attend C1 in Indy was going to drive for USA . this was back in 2012. I did well at the school really no issues with the training. but my 3rd week ready to test out and USA denied my application. Ok 4 yrs later 2016. I'm going for it again.

Company Paid School

I have looked into Celadon. they pretty much cover it all for you. You have to ask questions. I asked about my permit, I have to get it here in my home state and my DOT physical and they will reimburse me up to 100.00 towards those 2 items. I also heard they give you a 50 dollar gift card on the week ends . Yes you have to pay for your laundry and personal items.. good-luck.gifundefined

Hello Ladies of Trucking, I have been a Class B driver for the past 5 years and am currently looking into attending a private trucking school in the Spring, do you ladies think 50 is too old to change careers? My general health is good, I pass my physicals on a yearly basis so that is no worry, please comment good-luck.gif

CRST contract student

Have you looked at any other training programs. I am looking into 3 at this time pam, celadon and roehl. almost signed on with USA

I am starting school in Dallas Texas as a contract student for CRST on January 4th 2015. I'm looking to find any other possible new students heading that way or current CRST employees. Students I'm curious as to how your feeling about school and possibly making a friend to see if we might make a good team for after training. Current employees I want your knowledge and experience working with CRST. I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews and need more info to see if I'm making a mistake with CRST.
