In school for training to get my Class A CDL long course.

I tend to lean towards letting her go ahead. Think of the confidence she'll have! Also, companies will certainly help getting a ready made team together!

Thank you David, I do agree !!

Hi and welcome to trucking truth..... Let's start by saying even if you both get your cdl at the same time and start at the same time you both will go out wi th a trainer for x amount of days without each other and then upgrade to whatever it is your doing weather its team or solo... With that said if she can get her cdl before you and start with said company and go solo while waiting for you to be able to jump on her truck as a team might be the best way to go.. I would do it this way if I was in your shoes...... Now I'm not sure of the felony but sounds like you don't have to worry about it because you already have a pre hire and I'm sure you already told the company about it

Thank you Scott for the advice.i Know your right about my wife going over the road first, I just worry about all the things that could go wrong for her with out me. She said she is ready to go and excited.as for myself I can't wait to make some real money and see our beautiful country. The kids are out of the house so we have no problem being out 2 or 3 months at a time. That's our goal anyway. God bless and thank you again

ANY INPUT PLEASE?

So I am currently four weeks into a four month program at HDS in Tucson AZ. I want to take my wife with me OTR doing team driving. But because of money we have to go to two different schools. My wife works while I am going to school. But we both feel that we need to get over the road as fast as possible to start making money. We both agreed to go to Covenant and we do have pre hires there. The problem is do I have my wife get her CDL in four weeks and go ahead of me? Which worries me about her being by herself. Or have her wait so that we can go out together at the same time? Also, money is ultra tight and I worry because I have a 15 year old felony. In closing thank you for any advice.
