If it's what I'm thinking, it's a slide stop to keep from going too far forward where you risk the trailer hitting the cab on a turn.

I figured, but the need of 1 or 2 notch forward can be compensated with cautious turning, no?

It looks identical to this one, the only difference is in this picture, 5th wheel is in the most front position. Apparently mine isn't and couldn't.

Got a load from California, but stuck with tandem overweight. After I figured a way to get out of CA, I found out that I could't slide my 5th wheel further forward because there is a set of blocks in the front of the bracket restraining the slider. Is this setup original? I can upload pics later. Thanks!

The Horn

The Horn

Check out this video by Mack Trucks that I think is part of most of our personal stories.

"This sound moves America, it just moves some of us a little bit more."

I might disappoint the kids when i saw them gesturing for a horn in the city. lol

Trucker Path upgraded, Google Maps eliminated, AGAIN!

I was/am using iPhone and iPad to launch Trucker Path, but they tends to eliminate Google Maps as directional guidance every time they upgrade the app. Android version seems to be fine (you bet, they have Google Play to take care of this).

Engine no start, but pull-started?

These days my truck (2007 Volvo VN670, Cummins, 10 Spd) is doing ugly on me. For a couple times, it didn't start. Battery voltage from 12.4 to 13.3. Engine cranks, but along with odd noise during the cranking, and today, 13.3V just finished refueling the tractor, trying to start the truck with no joy! Have to get it pull-started.

Here are my concerns.

1. Why those odd noise like skidding gears? 2. During my trying to start the truck in the fuel island, two other drivers approached me saying "it sounds like a BLOWN FUEL INJECTORS"? What is that? Especially BLOWN? 3. If sth wrong with my fuel injectors, why pull-starting can start my truck back up?
