Possibly Roehl CDL Training

I misread you said u had your permit. Roehl uses Fox Valley to train their employees for getting their cdl. Also a great program. I'm in Gary, Indiana right now, I had a driver tell me this morning that he loves trainees that get trained through Roehl because they are better drivers lol.

Possibly Roehl CDL Training

Hey! I just finished phase 1 with Roehl and got officially hired on monday. I'm currently waiting to meet my trainer tomorrow.

Like you, I came to Roehl with my cdl already obtained. I am Very happy with Roehl so far.I went to appleton wisconsin for training. The training was very thorough and done very well. They put me up in a very nice hotel and good food was provided. The instructors were great and I talked to many drivers at the lounge. All were very positive and had no complaints.

Tomorrow I should start driving with my trainer over the road! If ud like I can tell u how that goes as well. Any questions ask away. Good luck!

Prime ,Roehl , Schnieder ? Dont want to be jerked around.

I just got hired on with Roehl. I absolutely loved the traing. Very professional and to the point. I meet my trainer tomorrow. But so far everything is going well. I would suggest Roehl from my experience so far. I chose Roehl over prime and schneider for my career. And from things I've heard. I'm glad I chose Roehl. Although all companies have pros and cons, obviously.

Why did you start driving a truck?

I worked at a horse farm, witch I loved... but started thinking one day about a career and not just a job. I started browsing craigslist in the job section and immediately saw job after job for class A drivers. I thought, that's it, ill be a truck driver. And 3 weeks later I was enrolled in school, from the first time I sat in the international, 10 speed and started driving I was hooked. I got my class A license yesterday and I start trucking as a new career this month. I know I'm inexperienced out in the trucking world, but so far I wouldn't turn back and I Know I made a good choice.

Starting at Roehl this month

so I just received my class A license yesterday and I am headed out for Roehl transportation this month! I have been told they are a great company, not too mention they have pretty nice trucks. But other than that I haven't been able to talk to anyone who works for Roehl. I would absolutely love some feedback from anyone who works or has worked with them. I am pretty much going in blind other than knowing the basics of the company. I am very excited, but also nervous I may not be choosing the right company as I was pre hired to 7 plus companies. and some of them definitely have better perks....but less pay.

any feedback is appreciated!!

Bewildered....?

I went to a driving school in my area, but before that I was accepted into prime for school. I was turned down by 4 companys solely because of my location. a lot of companies wont take on students from certain locations. and some have hiring bans... it just depends. I would go for as many companies as you can. and even try a school not associate with a trucking company as I did.

Advice for being with a male trainer on the road?

I am getting ready for a training program,( pending my acceptance but I was told I should have no issues by my recruiter, ) I have read the female trainers are more rare and there can be a waiting period. I am wondering if any of you had a male trainer and if you could tell me if it was difficult or uncomfortable at times? any advice really, my boyfriend is not really comfortable with me being a younger female on the road with a male. but I really do not want to wait for a female trainer!

thanks!
