So I failed a drug test 3 weeks ago at CRST, I didn't have the the money to dispute it so i came home(my parents had to buy my ticket home). Anyways, I have been applying to other schools, telling them upfront that i failed my drug test, since i know they will find out anyways. I offer to retake the test since i know that i am clean. I even try to play the veteran card but i keep getting turned down. What are my options?

I still want to be a truck driver, i was a truck driver in the military and i thought it would be something i can transition into easily. I have applied to only a few places, i.e. Swift, Prime inc, Schneider, Roehl. I currently don't have a cdl so i need a company that can train me to get it. I've talked to a few schools around my area and they told me get my DAC report...which from what i have read, i have requested a report from hireright.com. Is there something else i can do to convince these companies that i am serious about trucking and that i am clean?

There are many small companies that will accept military experience as valid experience, you can find small local companies on www.Craigslist.org Be careful as some of those small companies will have the trucks leased on to larger companies, you should ask up front if they are leased on to a larger company if they say yes cut the conversation short and find a company that is working with their own authority.
