1st Time Run with May Trucking!

Congrats Bob. Your in your way!

How do you and your wife like the Pensacola area? We are considering relocating and that is on the short list. Near the ocean and trucking terminals required.

North east region

Yes. It is the oldest part of the country and many roads were horse paths and not suited to trucks. If you can drive Boston and New York you can drive anywhere in the US with ease.

From a prior conversation is the north east region the toughest area to drive in ? What do you ladies and gents think ? Excited to hear these responses

New Convoy app for truckers

Perhaps I read it wrong. I see it as an app that replaces the broker. While the developers get a fee it will be minimal. The driver interacts with the shipper directly. Be interesting to see if it catches on Uber style.

Looking for a Prime instructor for PSD

If you really want to get your career started and being from California is what is holding you back can't you just tell them you don't need home time during training? Rough it and sleep in the truck while your trainer takes his home time wherever that may be?

Leasing A Truck: My Journey

I wish you luck and will follow along on your adventure. Having investigated leasing myself I could never make the numbers work. Watching a YouTuber trucker yesterday reinforced it when his 2 year old truck blew a turbo. Three days not rolling and a hefty $6,000 bill later he was questioning his sanity about leasing. A tough road you have chosen. Keep us posted!

Tanker Division of Prime

I believe he brought up he food grade issue because hazmat tankers get paid more typically and is one of the reasons people choose to be a tanker. Just a guess.

Cdl in south carolina

Christian, with an international drivers license getting a South Carolina license will be real easy. There is a a lot of container hauling work as Charleston is one of the major container shipping ports on the east coast. When I lived there there was a steady line of trucks coming out of all the major terminals. Welcome to the U.S. And enjoy!

Holy Cow! This Ain't a Sleeper it's a Ballroom!

That is owner operator. No company in their right mind would put up with the poor mpg and reduced freight capacity I bet.

Ponchos are useless in a 30 mph wind. Get yourself a proper rain jacket. You won't regret it.

A few questions

Who cares what your future ex wife thinks to be honest. As for moms they come around when they see you are happy. Go for it.
