At the Greyhound Station in Frederick, Maryland!

Next week, my 7hr bus trip to Syracuse is interrupted by a three hour layover in Albany. Ugh!

Swift start date 4/3~

LOL... I had two fillings yesterday. (Still can't chew on that side!) But likewise, waiting another two+ months, and use up part of that precious 34 hours?... feh-GET't. I'm hoping to earn enough, someday, to replace one pulled last year.

We'll have fun driving for Thwifth !

Seeking Pros & Cons of Swift Driving School

that the "things" were probably Syracuse terminal specific.

I'm headed to Syracuse Apr 10. Aside the Mentor "qualifications" you referenced, I wonder what these other issues might be, if there are things I should look out for, or specify... I want to create the best experience I can, which is why I appreciate these forums.

Thanks!

Victor-- They told me to plan on 5wks Training, afted Orientation. Recruiter said Mentors don't take Home Time, so we won't be stuck in a motel for 2 days. Or if they do, Swift pays for our lodging.

G.Town, Errol, et al-- How do we spend, or what do we do, for 34hr reset? Sit in our bunks? Eeeek!

Don-- I got my CDL over a year ago, failed to find any local work, and only Swift and US Xpress would hire and train me. I really burned myself by waiting so long, and got really depressed as I crossed off company after company. Not trying to bring you down! Just my own experience...

Swift start date 4/3~

Why thank you!

Pretty much what I figured, but having it spelled out is great.

I've spent the last two weeks making packing lists, searching for decent travel bags, and hoeing out my house. And I mean full-tilt reeling from pile to website to storage totes!

I still need to sneak in some driving practice, just because it's been so long since I've driven with a trailer.

With all this chaos, the details help to calm me!

Hey K,

I head to Syracuse to start Orientation on 4/11. I'd love to know what it'll be like, if you'll post details. Do you know what your training region will be?

I am psyched, but nervous too!

Hay-K :)
