Well I a so excited and nervous that my face grew numb and my hands and arms fell asleep really quick rofl-2.gif . Can't wait to get there and see the terminal! What was your favorite part about training and orientation? So excited, it is actually coming to life!! smile.gif

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

Not sure what everyone's favorite part is but it's definitely not that greyhound ride.

You can't call it The greyhound... sounds to luxurious... stick with the Dirty Dog... more to the point.

Next week, my 7hr bus trip to Syracuse is interrupted by a three hour layover in Albany. Ugh!

I have to say this is the first time I've ever seen a trucker excited to ride the Dog! Quite a change from the look of dread I see most days, especially for the guys heading for Spimo....... that's an ugly ride.

And to add as a Dog driver, we don't like riding the buses either. The only thing that makes it remotely palatable is that we are getting paid for it. All things considered I'd rather deadhead a bus then cushion on a schedule......at least the driver's seats are comfortable

Deadhead:

To drive with an empty trailer. After delivering your load you will deadhead to a shipper to pick up your next load.

I think it's cause he's never rode on an air ride seat. Give him a few weeks and tell him he has to ride the Dirty Dog again and see what kinda look you get.
