Well there not much to say. I've wrenched on cars for a while. Decided to get out of the field and change careers. Hoping everything works out as I love driving and traveling.

Soon to be beginning my OTR solo driving career. Tips/advice appreciated.
I'm sure this has come up several times, I do apologize. I'll be starting my career as a solo driver for Central Refrigerated. They are owned by Swift and seem like a great choice. I used to wrench on BMW's for quite some time, but the field has died down. My father was an OTR truck driver for CRST and loved it. He made great money, so I figured why not. He has never driven solo, so he said I should ask some people for tips. I guess my questions would be: are there any people currently driving for Central Refrigerated? Do you like it? Did you like it? What GPS should I get? Things to always have handy in the truck? Etc. I really believe I'm going to enjoy it. I'd just like to hear from you guys. Sorry if this has been posted quite a few times and is getting annoying.

Trucking Tax Professional in my area?
Hi, my name is Mike and I am currently an owner op thru Swift. I just started this venture and everything seems pretty good right now. I was looking to get some advice from many of you if I could. I'm not trying to be a know-it-all super trucker on the road. I am simply trying to perform the duties of a professional driver, and going from company to owner op is a pretty big step for me. My first question, which I'm sure may have been answered in the past, is does anyone know of a great tax professional in North Carolina? I am from the Winston-Salem, Greensboro High Point area and really need some help. I know that paying taxes every quarter year is the way to go. I just really don't want to mess with IRS sensitive stuff when I don't know what I'm doing. Any other owner op tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you to anyone who reads and helps in advance. Be safe out there brothers and sisters!
