Pardon my venting on CDL applications......
Hey that's awesome!!!
Now before we start partying too hard, have you applied for any pre-hires yet? For those who aren't familiar with the process we have an article on Understanding The Pre-Hire Process.
If you can get two or three pre-hires then you know you'll have your choice of some companies to work for after graduation. The sooner you can get that process started, the better. That way you graduate, get your CDL, and get right on a bus to orientation with your first company.
I have one pre-hire already. I was thinking that will be my project this week end, work on the apps for more. I also have some to call back on Monday. I'm thinking the more the merrier.

Pardon my venting on CDL applications......
I got great news today! I applied to Route 66 trucking school. All though I couldn't get a loan on my own I found a co signer and I'm school bound as soon as the paper work is done. My co signer is an angel on earth. Thank you so much for believing in me.

Pardon my venting on CDL applications......
I want to thank you all for your ideas and suggestions. I had a great day today. A recruiter called me back and they are getting my reports done. I think part of the problem is I drove for a cab co a few years back. They closed and the owner left town, no way to contact him. But I have my tax papers they gave me, I was considered self employed. The recruiter thinks that may have been the problem. With luck this one will work out and I will be off to school in the next few weeks.
Thanks for hearing a mad half crazy woman vent. And thanks again for all your support.

I have put in app at every company that I can find that offers training. I'm just at the bottom of the list and losing hope.
Are you calling the companies that you've applied to?
I have been giving them a week then calling them. One of them told me the get 2500 apps a day and they have a large pool to pick from, and they only choose the best. I applied to some that I should here from this week.

Heck, Minnie, you got a company owned school right there in Springfield - Prime owns it. They are one of the best deals because if they accept you, you don't even have to pay them back through payroll deductions. Drive for them a year after you graduate and they'll call it even. Get on the horn with them and ask all the questions you can . . . you should be able to solve this mystery . . .
Jopa
Prime was my first pick cuz I would like to go lease in time. But they told me no.

Pardon my venting on CDL applications......
The others have given me the "we decided to go with others applicants at this time" response those are the only two that gave me a reason And I know I "grumpy" (to put it nicely) about the whole thing. I have wanted this a long time and at this point the only thing that is stopping me is the money for school. I have companies willing to train me but they don't have a school or pay for the school until I'm solo. My dream is at my finger tips but still so far away.

I got a letter stated that my credit score was the reason and if I had $6000 to pay for the school it would be no problem. That was Driver Solutions. The recruiter flat out said we don't train woman. Yes I have some mistakes in my past dont we all. But my driving record is clean, no drugs or drinking charges, no weapons.

First time on a greyhound tomorrow
Take a water bottle and some snacks with you. I was stuck at a bus station for 4 hours and they charged $2 for Raman Noddles. A book or something to keep yourself busy. A lite jacket too, you can use it as a pillow or to block the ac if its blowing right on you. Good luck to you
