Going solo in a couple days. Overwhelmed, i need to understand Next time available.
This is my second day solo and I just had to send in an eta/pta macro because I'm going to be a day early on the delivery. So on the plan time available I put like 4 hours after my estimated time of arrival just incase they unload me really slow or something happens.

Celadon/ Quality drivers academy Any current info?
Im glad to hear your excited man, you might have to ask when you get there but I believe you can run solo for 120,pop miles. The reason they recommend teaming is so you can get it done in half the time because they count the truck miles but I'm not 100 percent in that

No need to apologize you seem like a great guy. As far as bringing your laptop and camera you should be fine if you don't leave it lying around, the terminal is a few blocks from a bad spot in town but you'll be fine. Celadon has treated me right so far and I don't plan to leave but like you said there are whiny babies at every company so prepare for that. All in all you should be excited, the instuctors are good, I think you made a good choice.

My brother got his cdl through indy so I'll explain what happened for him. He got his permit in Arkansas went through their school, then tested with 3rd party in indy, after that it went into the national database so when he went back home he just went to the DMV and they gave him his license. Hope this helps brother!

You wont have to get an indy permit if you have one from your home state.

I'm with celadon, which school location will you be attending? I went through the refresher course but got the training from the same instructors as the students so if you have any questions just ask. I completely agree with everything old school just pointed out, there are "students" that have been here for 6 weeks or longer. You have to want this or you will never get it.

I finished training with a mentor today, I will be upgrading Monday and then it's off to running teams with my brother. I had a great experience training and would recommend celadon to anyone out there. Thank you trucking truth!
