No experience No Cdl flatbed training companies
Is the maverick cdl training based on location. I am in South Carolina and i spoke with maverick the other day and was told that i wouldn't have a chance to go anywhere until feb. They said they don't do training during winter months. Does that make since or should i call again?

Application question about mvr
I am curious to know if when I am filling out trucking company apps, if I am required to put what's on my personal insurance information or what is listed on my 10 MVR. Reason I am asking is because, is putting the insurance info, asking for more of a reason for a company to give a negative feedback and possible denial.

Thanks for the input. Found a nice large sleeping bag, since I am 6'5" and a travel pillow. Also think I might go with a 24" duffel and my book bag.

I have not forgotten about the shower shoes, thank god for years of camp ground..that one is engraved in my head. I just didn't wanna over pack when i started this thread, i appreciate all the effort and thoughts. I am not sure what kinda truck i'll be in, hopefully the sheet size is universal for the size you guys gave me. I've followed everything pretty much with whats on the list that was posted the jim palmer page on this site.

How long should i get a duffel if i am to do company training in someone else's truck, over the road. I am going to training in missoula, mt for jim palmer in about a month. I have read and obtained most of the stuff on the list off the site, i just need to know how big my bag should be. I am looking at a 26" duffel currently.

Ok, i will do both suggestions. As far as the state, i have to focus on missouri since i plan on going with wil-trans. I found that my state being south carolina, there permits don't transfer over. And some of there rules vary. I appreciate all the info !!!

One of the answers on the high road test was pull over and stop. I answered the question with what u just said and it told me I was wrong and that I was to pull over and stop. Thanks for clarifying

If i were being tailgated, do i pull over and stop? or Increase my following distance and don't make any lane changes? I am getting these two different answers from studying the states manual. I just wanted to clarify the answer...any thoughts?

I can't decide...any suggestions
Thanks for the reply's, honestly i agree with all of your comments. Thing is, I am "burnt" out on aviation, the passion i once had is somewhat flamed out. Yes i've been on this site for 4 years if that is what is says, honestly, i haven't looked. I do understand the trucking lifestyle, no i haven't read the book you mentioned. I have a few close friends that spent time over the road and some still do it. Its taking me a few years to build up the courage to convince myself to even put my time forward to study the material. Family is supportive, that's a big plus !! Financially, i've been saving money to go away to school or to a company based school.
Staying in school is my priority and as long as i don't flunk this current class, ill be fine. I do appreciate all the end sight that a few of you have given me. I do have a few questions though.
1. I was looking at Wil-trans and Jim Palmer, loved the review that this site posted and even talked with a few drivers. Does wanting to go with a company that has the rider and pet policy that i am looking for matter, over pay and mileage?
2. I really want to get into flatbed, i know i could go with prime and or knight (sapa), but should i spend the time and get some basic dry van experience first?
3. I've seen a few video's on youtube and i know you cant believe everything you see, my question is, Can a driver who hauls refrigerated also haul dry van with same type trailer for same company?
