Swift lease. Can truck be used for any other company.

Fella has it in his head he'll be an owner operator. I don't think he understands that he has no control over that truck leasing from them. Won't even take a contract to attorney for previewing ( if swift will let him) he thinks his mentor and dm would never mislead him . Lol

Mr. Jackhole's friend's boyfriend thinks:

True or not? Says swift will pay the mileage but other company pays the load.

Would you believe Company A would do anything to help out Company B in this situation? I'll give you time to think about it.

You can lease your truck through Swift, and you will contract to haul Swift's stuff. In any way, would Swift then pay you to haul any other company's freight? Not in a hunnert years! Besides, Swift will keep you busy.

(Maybe I missed something, but this is what I understand the question to be.)

I know swift won't, but he has it in his head they will. I am trying to get answers from others to show him I am telling the truth and not just trying to hold him back. I want this guy to succeed.

He hasn't signed anything yet. I am trying to talk him out of it. He has no business management experience and is just listening to mentor and company.

Not going to sugar coat it. You probably won't get hired for several years if then. Being released from military for drugs isn't something that will go away.

Here's the down low. Friends boyfriend has been talked into a lease, he seems to be under there impression that he can haul for another company as well. True or not? Says swift will pay the mileage but other company pays the load. True ir false? Mind you this guy is new to driving and has no safety net when things go negative. This info he is saying I have read nowhere and sounds like he's being spoon fed horse manure.

Finding a mate after you've started trucking.

double-quotes-start.png

Well...here's a flip to that coin...if you were already involved, your wife/gf might not like it and give you hell for it. Meeting someone new, that is something they must accept.

Those I know in trucking met their wives on the road and now they team. One friend told me he fell in love with his wife when he saw her pull into a truck stop and back in without doing a pull up. She jumped out of the truck and he introduced himself. They have been driving 14 years together now.

Another of my friends was a trainer and trained a woman. They were so good together they started teaming and three years later got.married. they been married six years.

So is it possible? Sure. Even before I came into trucking I was the perfect trucker /military gf. Miss you love you can't wait to see you...then you get home and get back on the road before you can annoy me. Hahaha

Keep in mind too that home time can be wherever you want... And if possible and the company allows it, you can bring her along occasionally.

One friend would have his wife take a two week vacation from her job then he'd pick her up and take her out for a couple weeks, being sure to go to fun places like Vegas or Florida beaches or something.

I'm still looking for a really hot poor guy, or an old rich one with a heart problem. Seems more likely you will find a woman than I'll find my guy hahhah

I need a young woman or a rich widow myself. Alas to old for the young one and to young for a rich old woman. What's a guy to do.

Swift questions

Approximately what's the insurance cost with family at swift? Anyone using the 401k? Those who use cpap, is swift providing inverter? Or am I responsible?
