Any experiences with Pride Transport?

Hello everyone. I am about 60 hours from completion of my training. I can't compare Pride to other companies but I will try and address some things that I feel are important and good indicators.

Freight With rare exception we are given our next load early on during our current dispatch and sometimes we are a couple steps ahead.

Time off As a driver it is my responsibility to let my DM 2 weeks Ahead of time when I want home time. Home time accrues at 1 day off for every day worked. I choose how often and for what duration I use it.

My wife recently had surgery and I asked for time off to be with her. The only questions asked were; how much time do you want? And when? Dispatches were arranged to get me home and then to get me picked up.

Quality of training The training so far has been very well organized and presented. There is a skills evaluation at the end of each phase. If you pass you move on. If you need more time so be it. For me my confidence and ability have progressed right in line with the suggested timeline.

Equipment and facilities As I stated earlier their equipment Is all quite new and impeccably maintained. The terminal in Salt Lake City has undergone a recent remodel and features a very nice drivers lounge with pool table, ping pong, work out equipment, free laundry facilities, vending machines.......

I am so far very impressed and quite confident that I have chosen a good employer. I feel very much at home here.

Any experiences with Pride Transport?

Hello everyone,Scott Sorry I have dropped off for a while. I am currently two weeks into my six week training with Pride Transportation. I am very happy with my situation.

After a couple months of discussions with my recruiter I accepted an invitation to attend orientation. Transportation, lodging and breakfast and lunch Were provided. The orientation was very well organized and productive.

My trainer is a very good fit. He is close to my age, experienced ( 15 years not months), patient, articulate and thorough.

After a slow start freight wise our dispatcher explained that there was a soft spot in the freight chain. We are currently recieving our next load shortly after we begin our current load. All is good!

Pride has proven to be a very driver friendly company. They have been very flexible and accomodating. They have already worked out a strategy to Provide for my home time (my trainer and I do not live near each other).

Their equipment is 2013 and newer with the 2013's phasing out this summer. Equipment is maintained in emacculate condition. If it is broke it is fixed, no question about it.

I will give another update when my training is completed. In the Mean time if I can answer any questions please ask.

Any experiences with Pride Transport?

Hello everyone. First post for me. I report for orientation Monday in Salt Lake City with Pride Transport. Sounds like SLC is a popular hub just now! I was wondering if anyone has any insight to Pride Transport?
