Bobby O.'s Bio

I guess you would call me a new older trucker, I use to drive many years ago but left and started building quarter mile race cars. I built the engines from the oil pan up. I decided to get back into trucking and it's not western express but western xpress. Why there's two companies out there who couldn't come up with two different names I don't know but anyway I Love this site and will be glad to help keep it running . You are doing a great job! Email is thesouthpau@gmail.com, if anyone wants to know!

Hey Randall, I have had my cdl for over 13 yrs. I just now am getting back into the business. I am taking refresher course at Schneider in West Memphis, Ark. You would be a lot better off ,like old school and Brett have said ,to go with a bigger company that offers refresher courses to guys like us. You just have to find the one that will fit you and stay with them for awhile unless you decide to stay permanent. It's completely what you feel is right for you. Their are plenty of companies that offer refresher courses. Brett has a big list of trucking companies here and look at them then do some research on each one until you find the one that will fit you best. Personally, I am glad I chose Schneider , but it may not be for you.

I'm working my #!# off trying to prove myself , I hate negativity and whiners, I just got left the forum and surfed on other sites and got uneasy, plus I distance myself from these few negative guys and I'm just trying to concentrate on my goal. Thanks Nathan!

I am under the impression that all these truck companies are going to send people packing if one of them can't back up properly, shift properly, turn in the right gear properly, etc...... I thought trainers would work with people to help them get all of these things down. Maybe I should just stay in this forum than roaming in other forums because some of the things I see in those forums could make you think you made a bad choice of a company to drive for. I'm still here at schneider orientation and I just looked up all these horror stories about these companies. I'm trying to do what my dad always said only believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear sometimes unless you know the person is telling the truth. And I believe most of what I hear around here in this forum. Can somebody give me some positive feedback. Just the facts (truth) please. Thank you

Thank you Brett, I'm staying away from the few sites I looked up last night. Those sites were what I call basher sites for the industry. Just negativity. By the way I have a stupid question for you brett?? What is a lot lizard?

I'm not a runt I'm 6'2" 225 lbs. But like that being said a gun is still more powerful pointing at your skull. So, that's why I asked what I asked.

I know we can't have guns in trucks. I have a license to carry a concealed weapon ,but I still would get canned if I did. I have 18 years of martial arts but that isn't going to stop a flying bullet at my head. So, is a Louisville slugger acceptable for the truck or anything? I don't start things pretty much stay to myself and definitely not a bully or loudmouth, but I would like to know how everyone stays a little more relaxed knowing you can defend yourself . Just wondering.
