Swift

Okay so I used to drive for swift, left for personal reasons. They just offered me my job back and I'm thinking about taking it before my company tries to put me in an automatic. But do swift trucks now have cameras in them? Please don't sit here and try to tell me the cameras are good or whatever. I only want to know if they have cameras in them or not, thanks!

Cascadia or t680

That's just how I grew up man, it's more than driving a truck to me, it's a lifestyle. Nothing feels better than shifting and feeling that power.

Cascadia or t680

I just consider it a work out, driving stick is like a lifestyle for me. My personal car is a 6 speed and my truck is a 10. If they gave me an auto to be honest I would quit on the spot and find a new job.

Cascadia or t680

Okay so my company just took me on an intermodal account this week, I'm stoked! They just offered me a brand new cascadia with a baby bunk on it 10k miles and it shifts like a dream! I currently have a T680 with 300k on it but plenty of room. I'm hesitant because the lack of space but it also shifts so smooth because they guy who previously drove my current truck beat on it badly. I'm probably due for a new truck anyways right? Don't most of the mega carriers get rid of them around 300k? I feel like now is my chance to grab another 10 speed before they just take my truck and put me in an automatic. What would you pick?

Best option for dedicated route

Hey guys, so I'm a company guy with Werner right now. They don't have any good dedicated routes on the west coast. I was thinking of going owner op at some point or looking into a different company. I love running Phoenix to Los Angeles and all up and down I-5. I see owner ops pulling intermodal out of the ports in long beach and Oakland, just wondering how I might be able to get more info on things like that? I would love to run that whole area.

Becoming a trainer?

So I just became a trainer, I'm just looking for feedback from other trainers? Is there a significant increase in pay also?

How does an accident affect you?

I just wondering how badly a DOT reportable accident affects me? I was in a fender bender a year ago, a woman ran a stop sign texting in a parking lot and hit my reefer tank. Her car was towed away, state trooper shows up and gives me a ticket when 5 other people told him it wasn't my fault they saw the whole thing. Just found out swift wrote it down as a DOT. I'm currently a trainer for Werner. But now my goals of going to the Walmart fleet in two years have apparently come to an end. Will this affect me negatively for more years to come? It's pretty upsetting to say the very least..

Dot medical card??

Okay so I have a medical card from last year not expired on file with my home state. I got a new physical done three weeks ago in California but forgot to grab the card before I left my company terminal. Can I lose my license for not updating my card? I have the one on file in my wallet but that new one is sitting in California ..

Late on load?

So I've never really been late on loads, I've been driving for about a year now. I'm noticing a lot of the time Werner has been given me loads that are already late, or are due at a time where I am going to be late no matter what I do because I don't have enough time to run the miles. While I know that's not my fault I can't help but get nervous I'm going to get in trouble for being late. I'm on a load right now waiting at the shipper 4 hours so far it has to be in Oklahoma tomorrow by 11 am, 830pm here right now. But I haven't slept and my hours are about to run out. I can't go to sleep until I'm on a dock and I'm nervous to ask them to reschedule the appointment tomorrow because I don't feel like losing my job, but I also can't run at 1 am when my hours come back off of no sleep. It's not a jit load. Am I just being paranoid?
