Not giving up just trying to figure out what to do while I'm sitting, a friend of mine offered to take me out for a couple of weeks and show me what it's like out there. After that I'm going to see if I can get a temporary job up at the local truck stop. Just have to finish HazMat and Pre-Trip on the High Road then I'll just take the practice tests until it's time to go back.

Talked to my doc when I got home and figured out why I was sent home...I still have to sit for a few more months but a failed physical is much better than a failed hair test :)

Working on a new plan already which is why I asked the question. I'll definately check out that link when I get home, still on the bus headed north. Smart phones are great for small stuff but real searching kinda stinks on it lol.

Looks like I may have to sit for three months due to having been put on Norco back in June short term due to an injury and shingles. Company doc here says can't have used it in the last 4 months:( So here's my question I can't find any where in the fmcsr where it gives a time limit, would that be a company stipulation or a dot stipulation?

New Lady Starting School August 12
Some of us that aren't in the trucking industry yet still see truckers as White Knights!! I was raised to always take a c.b. with me on long road trips because that way I could always find someone to help if I needed it, often times while the cars just kept on passing by. I'd like to see that mind set from my childhood come back into trucker. I've met a few truckers that were very unprofessional and that angered me.

Going To Attend Prime Inc Company-Sponsored Training
As another question: the recruiter at prime made it sound like every state had a CDL permit available, but it looks like Michigan does not (that I know of). I pointed this out to him and he said he would "look into it" but no answers yet. Worst case scenario I can get the permit when I arrive at Prime in Missouri, but does anyone know anything about getting the permit in Michigan? All I can find on the SOS website is getting the license itself.
In the Michigan CDL Manual on page vi of the introduction section it talks about getting your TIP(Temporary Instruction Permit).

Heading back to school!!!!!!!!
A month after getting sent home from C.R. England, I'm heading back to the Burns Harbor facility on Sunday to start school Monday. I've talked to one of their Doctors from Utah and have all the paperwork I need, hoping I don't get sent home again. Looking forward to the adventure, I'll try to keep everyone here updated on my progress with them once I'm there.
