What does location have to do with getting hired by a trucking company?
Seems getting into a training program to drive isn't as easy as the internet implies. Would i have a better chance being accepted if I lived closer to a companies terminal. I've applied to a couple smaller companies companies, but, Is where I live factored in when I'm being considered? I'm assuming that they think I'll want to go home at sometime?

I've been calling and e-mailing, think i might have a shot at this, I'll have to start regaining my will to live. lol
Details like how many and how long ago are important to help you. That information will help us steer you to a company that would give you a chance.
No, you can't hide that kind of information so honesty is best. Some companies won't consider you at all, some after a certain number of years, some no more than one, lifetime limits, etc.

Don't have any felonies, been through rehab and seen the error of my ways, just a matter of rolling up the sleeves and find my big set of courage i guess
I had a company consider picking me up, knowing my record. I asked if I was guaranteed, as long as you didn't falsify anything you should be ok. Where could i get a background that they use?Pretty much EVERY APPLICATION we've seen in the industry asks for FELONY CONVICTIONS - not arrests.
So as long as you provide EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR - there's no falsification involved. If they come up with a charge that got dismissed - "hey, you asked for CONVICTIONS".
Same goes for driving convictions, charges and accidents. If they ask for accidents IN THE LAST 5 YEARS - that's what you give them. You could have been playing bumper cars on I-95 for fun, SIX YEARS AGO - but that's not what they ask for.
Answer HONESTLY AND CONCISELY - giving them EXACTLY WHAT THEY ASK FOR.
I had a bunch of stuff fall off my MVR, and stuff that should have not appeared, show up (all out the the "window of time").
I pull backgrounds (on myself) using a login for an attorneys office I work for. That's "barely legal" to do. And the stuff that shows up on my NCIC doesn't show there. But I do have a speeding ticket (less that 10 miles over) from central FL over a decade ago, that shows up on my criminal record pull for some reason (not arrested, got an attorney, got it "adjudication withheld").
And I'll give the same advice I always give - FIGHT EVERY TICKET. Get an attorney and FIGHT IT. The $100 for a ticket attorney, is way cheaper than the increase in insurance rates, or the inability to get a driving job for simply paying the citation...

Thx, there is a flatbed carrier that refused my application, one or two said drive for somebody for bout six months and try again. Guess i can't blame them, 160,000 liability just to have me sit in the truck, I'd be a little concerned too. I'm a little more grown up now, those days are gone.

Two is a lot - but 10 years ago, may make you hirable, depending on what your driving/criminal history looks like since then.
As far as "expunge" goes - it may clear your driving record - but ANY TIME you've been arrested and printed, comes up on a criminal background, because a copy of those prints goes to NCIC (FBI) and that's FOREVER.
I know, because of dismissed charge from 28 years ago, that came up on a background when I tried to get a F.A.S.T. card - but was never questioned when I got my TWIC & HazMat.

I've been researching some of the companies on here, my first was CR, they just made it sound a little too easy, beeen watching you tube, googling company reviews etc
