Here Is What It's Like Pulling A Tanker

I plan on going tanker after a year or so doing dry van. I was a fuel hauler for 3 days and liked the way people appreciated when you showed up. But insurance company told my company I didn't have enough experience to stay. Long story short reading on here has made me decide to get more then 3 months experience to pull unbaffled tankers. Trucking truth is one of my favorite places to come and read. Stay safe drivers

Hopefully back driving soon

As long as every thing goes ok I will be starting with Schneider trucking after the holidays. Was going to go around September but had some family issues come up so had to delay them. Was thinking of going tanker but changed my mind back to dry van until I have more experience under my belt. Will keep yall updated as things progress

Finally found the right company

I'm thinking about going to Schneider also they have regional tanker where I'm located also. I was approved for everything about 2 months ago but had some stuff come up that prevented me from going back over the road at that time. Best of luck to you and hope all goes well

Maverick Glass vs Flatbed division.

One big difference is flatbed is home like 99% percent of weekends if you chose the regional glass is a minimum of 2 weeks out but they told me they prefer 3-4 for glass and they go in and out of Canada. There is a maverick driver on here that could explain more im sure but I can't think of his name right now.

Opinions and advice ?

That was kinda my thought on it also. I actually know a person who owns a truck and hopper bottom trailer that is sometimes looking for drivers I'm not sure if he is currently or not but he's told me before he'd be more then happy to hire me when he has an opening
